Couple accused of cheating

Silchar, May 15: A couple, Abdul Kadir Barbhuiya, son of late Jowair Ali Barbhuiya and Kayanath Altaf Laskar (Anju), daughter of Altaf Hussain Laskar, resident of Dhanehari village under Sonai Police Station, has been accused of cheating, breaching trust and stealing a vehicle (tripper) bearing registration number AS 11 BC/9949 which was purchased by its owner on hypothecation with Sri Ram Transport Finance Company Limited for commercial purpose. The owner, Khairul Hoque Laskar, son of Masabbir Ali Laskar, a resident of Madhurbond village, lodged an FIR with Silchar Sadar Police Station. Kayanath Altaf Laskar is a TET qualified teacher. Khairul Hoque Laskar has urged upon the police authorities to take concrete steps in nabbing the culprits.
