Cycling awareness rally on 70th Republic Day

Silchar: The Fitness Hub at Janiganj Bazar, Silchar, in association with Leo Club of Silchar is all set to organize a cycle awareness rally titled ‘Silchar Cycling Rally – pedal for pollution free nation’ on the occasion of the 70th Republic Day which is on Saturday.

The rally will flag off from 6 am from the Hub and move through the town and reach Silchar Medical College and Hospital and will return to the starting point. This information has been shared at a press-meet held in The Fitness Hub by the members of the Hub and the Club. Sudarshan Sarda, owner of the Hub, said that they have been organizing this rally for the last two years.

“Cycling is ideal for health and thus it is necessary to create awareness among people regarding cycling. We are organizing it for the third time. T-shirts and certificates will be given to the participants. Dr Siddhartha Bhattacharjee will flag-off the cycle rally. Around 125 people will participate in the rally. We want to promote cycling as it is the best exercise for one’s health,” said Sudarshan Sarda. Among others present at the press-meet included Ketan Singodia, secretary, and Arindam Goala, joint secretary, of Leo Club of Silchar.
