District-level TET Examination Review Meet held in Hailakandi

Hailakandi: A review meeting of District Level Examination Monitoring Committee (DLEMC) for Teachers’ Eligibility Test (TET) exam 2019 was held at the Deputy Commissioner's conference hall recently.

The meeting was chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education)-cum-Nodal Officer, RK Dam.

Inspector of Schools, Rajiv Kumar Jha explained the finer details of the modus operandi for smooth conduct of the exam slated for November 10.

Jha urged Deputy Superintendent of Police, Nayan Moni Barman to deploy adequate number of paramilitary forces at all the 28 exam centers. Fifteen exam centers have been marked sensitive.

The Inspector of Schools informed everyone present, including the supervisors to ensure that no electronic devices like mobile phones, bluetooth/wi-fi devices, watch, etc., are taken by examinees or invigilators inside the examination centre.

Flex banners will be put up at the entrance of the examination centre carrying message that electronic gadgets will not be allowed inside the examination campus. Candidates will have to undergo physical frisking at the gate and will have keep any banned devices outside the gate at their own risk.

Each centre and exam hall will remain under CCTV surveillance and a videographer will record the entire happenings.

A senior officer will be deputed by the Deputy Commissioner, who happens to be the Chairman of DLEMC, in each centre for supervision of examination. A supervisor will also be deputed by the Inspector of Schools in each centre to ensure adherence of guidelines issued by the Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA).

“Only the specially shortlisted teachers will be engaged as invigilators and the training will be held on or before November 3,” said Jha.

At the end, ADC, Dam urged the supervisors and members present to ensure free and fair conduct of examination and extended his best wishes.

Altogether 9,342 teachers of primary and upper primary schools of the district will appear for the TET exam.
