Hailakandi DC Keerthi Jalli Held a Meeting for the Preparation of Independence Day

Hailakandi: The district administration has begun preparations for the district-level Independence Day function. Hailakandi Deputy Commissioner Keerthi Jalli on Wednesday convened a meeting with officials of various departments at her office conference hall. Deputy Commissioner Jalli directed the officials to start preparing for the central function in right earnest so that it is held in a disciplined manner. Jalli also instructed all the officials present in the meeting to celebrate Independence Day as a national festival and ensure that they leave no stone unturned to make this program a big success.

She stated that the main function would be organized at the DC office campus ground and students of schools and colleges will present a cultural program during the function. She also entrusted some officials to look after the cultural events during the function. She said that various tableau would depict the welfare schemes and achievers from various fields would be felicitated during the function.

An official privy to the preparations being made said that a meeting to review the arrangements for the function will be held and a full-dress rehearsal will be conducted before August 15. Jalli directed that the teams constituted also make arrangements for cleanliness, band, electricity connection, drinking water, barricading, parking, stage and welcome of guests during the function. DDC, ADCs, SDO, Additional SP and several other officials were present in today’s meeting.
