Hailakandi District Administration Review Meeting on Civic Issues

Hailakandi: The district administration held a review meeting on civic issues related to Hailakandi Municipal Board (HMB) on Monday.

Deputy Commissioner Keerthi Jalli conducted a review meeting with ward commissioners, office-bearers and civic officers on civic issues and problems that included cleanliness drive, solid waste management, waterlogging, drinking water supply, garbage management, street lights, drainage and illegal parking.

Deputy Commissioner Jalli discussed the issues at the ward level and directed to speed up the process for undertaking ward-level civic work, cleaning drains, repairing of roads, water logging issue, water supply, among others. Jalli interacted with the ward commissioners and took note of their feedback on the problems confronting the residents of Hailakandi municipality.

The Deputy Commissioner asked the elected representatives to suggest ways and means to overcome the problems. The meeting also saw participation of Executive Officer, in-charge of HMB, Prodip Timung and other senior officials.
