Hindu Jagaran Mancha Demanded Immediate Arrest of Criminals

Silchar: Hindu Jagaran Mancha, south Assam region, through a representation addressed to the Ministry of Home Affairs, the government of Assam sent through the Deputy Commissioner of Cachar on Friday, has sought a proper investigation into the incident which involved attacking Hindus and destructing a temple at Duhalia in Karimganj district on February 9. A goon of anti-social elements attacked upon some Hindu villagers and set a temple of Lord Shani on fire in the district of Karimganj on that day. In addition to this, they set Bishu Nath and Anjali Deb’s houses on fire as well a rubber garden of Prashanta Deb.

Members of Hindu Jagan Manch protested before submitting the memorandum which has been signed by Ronojoy Nath, Sanjiv Sinha, Biswajit Das among others. They have demanded immediate action and proper punishment for the perpetrators of these heinous acts of crime. They have stated that if immediate action is not taken up, they would be forced to sit-in protest and make it a mass movement.
