Silchar: Based on specific information, Alpha Company of 37 Assam Rifles launched a search operation in an orange orchard at Saiselpunjee near Lalangkitta under Lakhipur subdivision of Cachar in the twilight hours of Tuesday. During the operation, huge quantity of ammunitions were recovered which included 5.56 mm and 9.96 mm calibers. More search was carried out, but there was no further trace of any ammunitions. The recovered ammunitions were handed over to Lakhipur police station.
