Medical camp held in Silchar

Silchar: Lions Club of Silchar Lioness (LCSL) and Youth Against Social Evils (YASE) jointly organized a free cataract detection camp and eye check up camp at Novokollol ME school, Fulbari, under Katigorah constituency of Cachar district.

A total number of 236 patients were examined by Dr Misti Sen and technician Sanjeev Das and 140 numbers of spectacles and free medicine were provided to them. 18 patients were detected cataract out of which 13 were taken to Lions Eye Hospital for free operation.

YASE volunteers have distributed free mineral water to every patient during the camp. Sakhi Bhattacharjee, president, Rita Chakraborty, Subhra Choudhury and Sanjukta Dutta Roy were present on behalf of Lions Club and Sanjeev Roy, president, central committee, YASE, Iqbal Barbhuiya, Amal Laskar, Ratan Das and others were present on behalf of YASE.
