‘Officials must accomplish tasks assigned’: Cachar DC Laya Madduri

Silchar: Cachar Deputy Commissioner Laya Madduri has taken a tough stance regarding execution of schemes for Panchayat and Rural Development in the district. Addressing the Block Development Officers and other concerned officials under The District Rural Development Agency at the Review meeting held at the District Library auditorium on Monday, Madduri made it clear that the officials must accomplish the tasks assigned and that no lapse or negligence in rendering public services shall be entertained. Urging the officials to work as a team, the Deputy Commissioner said that an accelaration in executing various schemes shall help Cachar district to tred on the path of Development.

The Deputy Commissioner laid particular emphasis on the proper execution and implementation of PMAGY, MGNREGA, NRLM schemes in the district and gave instructions to the CEO and Deputy CEO of Cachar Zila Parishad to maintain close vigil and monitor the proceedings.

Further, Madduri asked the functionaries to maintain liason with banks in implementing various schemes in rural areas. She also gave a patient hearing to the problems raised by the officials in the gathering and suggested that working together shall remove the hurdles that lay on the way in such a large district, a press release stated.
