One arrested, heroin recovered by Cachar Police

Silchar: A special team has been formed by Cachar police who will start operation against drug menace.

In this regard, everyone involved from top to bottom in this nexus whether a consumer, peddler or kingpin, nobody will be spared.

VDP will also be involved in it. Various awareness campaigns with VDP will be organized at regular basis at every police station. On Wednesday evening the team arrested Mdh. Mojibur Rahman of Lakhicharan road in Karimganj district from Natunbazar, Sonai, and about 5 grams of suspected heroin was recovered from his possession. Interrogation is still going on. A case has been registered and the culprit would be sent to jail.
