Panchayat Elections 2018: 461 nomination papers filed in Cachar district

Silchar: A total number of 461 nomination papers from candidates across the district of Cachar have been filed on Saturday. Dr S Lakshmanan, Deputy Commissioner of Cachar, has informed about it.

Out of these 461 candidates, 5 have applied for Anchalik Panchayat post, 19 for the president of Gaon Panchayat, 23 for Anchalik Panchayat member and 414 for Gaon Panchayat member. Panchayat election will be held on December 5 and December 9.
