Prateek Hajela NRC State Coordinator Urged To Open Official Web Portals

Silchar: Bidhayak Das Purkayastha on behalf of Citizens’ Rights Preservation Committee (CRPC) Assam, has urged upon Prateek Hajela, state coordinator of NRC to open the official web portals with immediate effect so that the ill affected people are not deprived of acquiring the required legacy data to claim their citizenship.

With the publication of draft NRC on July 30, 2018, the process of filing claims, objections and corrections for the left out people who were unable to find their names in the published draft has alreaady started today under the state coordinator’s supervision.

As the matter is very sensitive one, the necessity of various documents along with the legacy data is of utmost requirement to the applicants. It is to be kept in mind that due to illiteracy, sheer ignorance many people failed to collect the legacy data or collected wrong data from the official web portals.
