Hailakandi: Notwithstanding Hailakandi’s not so good results in the HSLC and AHM examinations 2019 announced on Wednesday, there are some exceedingly good performance.
Rajnandini Sarkar and Ankan Dutta from St.Mary’s School came out with flying colours in HSLC examination securing 95.83% and 93.50% respectively. Another student from Blue Flowers English Medium School Maudud Ahmed Choudhury obtained 92%. The student who has become the cynosure of all eyes is Raja Malakar from Harekishore School from poor background who has secured 80% in the HSLC examination.
Hailing from a very poor family with his mother working as a maid, Raja Malakar made his parents proud as well as the entire Hailakandi district with his good results. Penury did not come in the way of Malakar who burnt midnight oil and came out with success.
Inspector of Schools, Rajiv Kumar Jha congratulated the students who came up with sterling performance and especially Malakar for his hard work and perseverance despite the hardship he had to endure in pursuing his studies owing to abject poverty. “Malakar is a fountainhead of inspiration for others,” added Jha.
