Science-based model making, art competitions organized in Hailakandi district

Hailakandi: The Aryabhatta Science Society, Katlicherra unit organised a science- based model making competition in the premises of CM Higher Secondary School in Hailakandi district on Wednesday.

Students from 10 schools participated in the science-based model making, art, extempore speech and other competitions with great enthusiasm.

Inspector of Schools, Rajiv Kumar Jha who was present as chief guest boosted the spirit of the participants drawing examples from the life of the renowned scientist of ancient India Aryabhatta. Jha urged the students to inculcate scientific temper and to work for the betterment of mankind. District Coordinator of Aryabhatta Science Society, Lutfur Rahman Barbhuiyam and retired vice principal, Samar Bijoy Nath, among other dignitaries, also put forward their invaluable advice to improve upon the scientific insight of the participants. President, SMDC, Subhas Nath Mazumder was also present. Prizes were distributed among the winners in different events.
