Silchar Boy all set to release his Celluloid dreams

Silchar: Silchar’s Rajdeep Choudhury’s debut Bollywood movie Jack and Dil will release across the country on Friday. The young actor who is a resident of Ambicapatty of Silchar will be seen sharing screen with Arbaaz Khan, Sonal Chauhan and Amit Sadh in this romantic comedy. He is the son of Ranjit Choudhury and late Ruby Choudhury. The film has been directed by Sachin Karande.

Talking over the telephone with The Sentinel from Mumbai, Rajdeep Choudhury said, “This is a dream come true for me. I had to appear for more than 200 auditions before I got this role in Jack and Dil. My parents and brother whom I regard as my best friend Arup Choudhury have helped and inspired me a lot. The latest news is that all the tickets of Silchar Gold Digital Cinema have been sold out. It is a record that all the tickets of an afternoon show at Gold Digital Cinema have been sold out. It is a rare phenomenon.”

The actor will reach Silchar early in the morning. Sharing a little bit about his life, he said, “I had a humble upbringing. My mother used to give me Rs.10 as pocket money during my college days. Her death was a turning point in my life. She always wanted me to do something out-of-the-box. It is her blessings that have made me an actor today. I always keep a framed photograph of hers in my pocket. She died of cancer and since then I have always wanted to fulfill her dreams. As of now, I am having butterflies in my stomach. I have kept my fingers crossed.”

Rajdeep Choudhury left a very lucrative job in the United Kingdom and finally plunged into acting. Those were very crucial days for him and his family. The actor has also dined at the Buckingham Palace twice as an invitee. “This was an experience of a lifetime. It was dream come true for me. The release of Jack and Dil will finally help me realize my celluloid dreams. I would like to add here that the secret to success is hard work and having a good behavior. Nothing else matters,” he added to say. Rajdeep Choudhury will be seen essaying the role of a property dealer who comes across a beautiful girl played by Sonal Chauhan.
