Study materials distributed among 37 children on the occasion of Children’s Day in Silchar

Silchar: In an out of the box programme, organized at Banabashi Kalyan Ashram, Silchar, the students and teachers of Daffodils School distributed study materials among 37 children consisting 29 inmates and 7 differently abled children, on the occasion of Children’s Day in Silchar on Wednesday.

The programme was organized by SAKHAM NGO in collaboration with Banabashi Kalyan Ashram. It is pertinent to mention here that a colourful cultural programme was conducted in which the differently abled inmates made some spectacular presentations. Rudrani Das, a visually impaired child sang a melodious song. Sandipan Dutta Purkayastha, a teacher in the school, said that the school took up this venture as a part of Children’s Day celebration.

Sandipan Dutta Purkayastha was very satisfied to see smiles on the faces of the children of Kalyan Ashram. The programme was graced by the presence of Subrata Dey, guest of honour and also the principal of the school and Babi Dutta Dey, vice principal of the school. Among others present at the occasion included Rajarshi Das, Gobindalal Chakraborty and Rajesh Das.
