Silchar, July 10: Department of Economics, Assam, Silchar, is all set to conduct a symposium on ‘Demographic Challenges of the 21st Century’ on Wednesday to commemorate World Population Day 2018. On that occasion, an extempore speech competition will be organized among students at two levels, University level for PG students and research scholars, and Undergraduate level for college students. The competition is open to students from all disciplines and departments. The duration of each of the extempore speech will be of 2 to 3 minutes. The participants will be expected to speak on a specific issue relating to demographic trends and challenges in India and across the world.
