GMC continues eviction drive; inspects poultry shops, fast food joints & restaurants

GUWAHATI: GMC (Guwahati Municipal Corporation) conducted an eviction drive for the fourth consecutive day on Wednesday on Bharalumukh, Fatashil, Colony Bazar, Kahilipar, Lalganesh, Lokhara.

The veterinary branch of the GMC inspected a total of 108 poultry shops and evicted 63 shops. A total of Rs 6000 was collected from fines.

The health branch inspected 22 fast food hotels, restaurants from Odalbakra Road, Lalganesh, Lokhra Road, MC road High Court. Rs 11,500 was collected a s fine.

The hoarding branch has dismantled 96 kiosks from Panbazar to Jalukbari.
