Sarma had asserted that the number of COVID-19 patients in the State would decline fast in the next few days even as Dispur was creating more facilities to quarantine suspected coronavirus-infected persons.

Asserting that Assam has successfully negotiated the first wave of corona and flattened the curve, the Health Minister had stated that the State is now preparing a detailed plan to deal with the people who will come back to Assam after lockdown is lifted. He further said that quarantine facilities are being created at more places including at Srirampur and Bohirhat to keep those persons under strict observation.
