22nd India Club Anup Lahoty Open Tennis Championship begins tomorrow

GUWAHATI: The 22nd India Club Anup Lahoty Open Tennis Championship will be held at the India Club from January 22. Around 200 players from the different parts of the state are expected to participate in the competition which carries a scholarship of Rs One lakh.

Addressing a media gathering at the India Club premises the president of the club and the chairman of organizing committee Abani Kumar Baruah today said, “There would be altogether seven events in the meet and these are U-12 boys and girls singles, U-14 boys and girls singles, U-18 boys and girls singles, U-18 boys doubles. men’s singles, men’s doubles, and ladies singles.” The media briefing was also attended by the secretary of India club Biswadeep Bora, organizing secretary Diganta Baishya and the other officials of the club.
