56th Inter-District Senior Volleyball Championship begins

GUWAHATI: The 56th Inter-District Senior Volleyball Championship got underway at Boko today. The competition was inaugurated by the CEM of Rabha Hasong Autonomous Council Tankeswar Rabha. The inaugural function was also attended by the working president of Assam Volleyball Association Pradip Hazarika and two senior officials of the Assam Olympic Association Raj Kakoti and Zahirul Haq. Fifteen teams in the men’s category and 17 in the women’s section are participating in the tournament which will conclude on December 20.

Day’s result: Women’s category: Jorhat bt Rangiya 3-0, Dhemaji bt Guwahati 3-0. Men’s category: Barpeta bt Dhemaji 3-1, Guwahati bt Kokrajhar 3-0, Nazira bt Bijni 3-0.
