AATA condoles Tarun Gogoi's death
All Assam Tennis Association (AATA) mourned the demise of former chief minister of Assam Tarun Gogoi who died in the city on Monday.
GUWAHATI: All Assam Tennis Association (AATA) mourned the demise of former chief minister of Assam Tarun Gogoi who died in the city on Monday. A condolence meeting was held yesterday at the AATA office and one minute silence and prayer for the eternal peace of the departed soul was also observed. In a release AATA said that Gogoi, during his tenure as the Chief Minister, took initiative to allot the present plot to AATA to construct the tennis complex. The tennis courts and the building of AATA complex was completed during the year 2006 - 07 to host the tennis event of the 33rd National Games in 2007.
Jorhat Tennis Club also condoled the death of Gogoi.
