GUWAHATI: A solid unbeaten ton from captain Amit Sinha helped Assam Cricket Association XI to draw the 2-day tie against Baduraliya Cricket team with first innings lead in Colombo today.

Chasing opponent team’s first innings total 282 Assam Cricket Association XI were once in deep trouble losing 5-104. But a determined knock from Amit and good support from Wasiqur Rahman (19) helped Assam Cricket Association XI to take lead in the first innings before the side got out 294. Amit remained not out on 110 and he took 188 balls to score those runs with the help of 13 boundaries and one six. Gokul Sarma (59) was the other major contributor on the team.

Earlier Baduraliya Cricket team were bowled out 282 in their first innings on the day I yesterday. Sameera Weerasinghe (64) and Pathum Maousanka (50) were the major scorers. Among the Assam bowlers, Mrinmoy Dutta and Mukhtar Hussain bagged three wickets each. Rahul Singh and Riyan Parag shared the other four wickets.
