GUWAHATI: Ace sprinter Hima Das and Dutee Chand are set to join forces and likely to take part in the women's 4x100m relay team which is gearing up to qualify for the Tokyo Olympics. India's chief national coach Radhakrishnan Nair told the media that there is no injury-related issue with Hima. She will now be preparing for the relay with Dutee and other members. After her brilliant performance in 2018 that saw her win the 400m silver at the Jakarta Asian Games, a persistent back injury has forced Hima to stay away from running in the 400m in major events. However she has now recovered well.

Meanwhile, Hima today released the logo of Brahmaputra Volleyball League which would be held across the state. Former captain of Indian volleyball team Abhijit Bhattacharya is the key person behind the tournament which is designed to promote the game in the rural areas of Assam. The competition would be held in different age groups of both boys and girls.
