Airports Authority of India Inter Zonal Volleyball, Throwball meet begins in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: Airports Authority of India Inter Zonal Volleyball & Throwball tournament 2019 started today at North Frontier's Railway stadium at Guwahati.

The four day tournament was inaugurated by D.K Kamra, Regional Executive Director, AAI NER along with General Managers and Regional sports control board members. A total of 138 players from 6 different teams representing each zone are participating in the event.

The volleyball event is for men and Throwball for the women employees of AAI. A cultural programme was also organised at the inaugural ceremony where local artists exhibited folk dances. The teams are: Northern Zone, Southern zone, Western Zone, Central zone, Eastern zone and the host Noth East Zone.
