AITA Super Series Tennis Tournament Finals Today

GUWAHATI: Top seed Neel Niranjan Joglekar and 2nd seed Vedant Bhasin of Maharashtra will fight it out for the title in the boys under 12 years singles finals in the OIL – AITA Super Series Tennis Tournament which Will be held at AATA Complex in the city tomorrow. In the girls singles final top seed Sohini Sanjay Mohanty of Odisha will clash against 2nd seed Thaniya Gogulamanda of Telengana for the crown. In the semi final played today both the Assam boys Antariksh Tamuly and Jishnu Pratim Das lost to their opponents in three sets after giving a tough fight in the hot and humid condition. In the boys doubles final played today Neel Niranjan Joglekar and Vedant Bhasin both from Maharashtra lifted the title by defeating Assam duo Antariksh Tamuly and Aryan Borah. Thaniya Gogulamanda (TS) and Nainika Bendram (MH) lifted the girls doubles crown.

Boys U-12 singls (Semi finals): Neel Niranjan Joglekar (MH) def Jishnu Pratim Das (AS). 5-7, 6-0, 6-1. Vedant Bhasin (MH) def Antariksh Tamuly (AS). 2-6, 6-3, 6-4. Girls U-12 singles (Semi finals): Sohini Sanjay Mohanty (OD) def Nainika Reddy Vendram (MH). 6-2, 6-2. Thaniya Gogulamanda (TS) def Aakruti Sankusare (MH). 6-3, 6-2.
