Amit Sinha to lead Assam in Vijay Hazare

GUWAHATI, Sept 15: Hard hitter Amit Sinha will lead 15-member Assam squad in the forthcoming Vijay Hazare Cricket Championship which is scheduled to be held in Chennai. Assam will play their first game against Gujarat on September 19.

Assam Cricket Association today announced the team for the championship where Assam are placed in the group with Haryana, Jharkhand, Tamil Nadu, Bengal, Team Rajasthan, Services, Tripura and J&K. Assam will play eight matches in the group stage.

The squad: Amit Sinha (Captain), Parvez Aziz, Riyan Parag, Sib Sankar Roy, Abhishek Thakuri, Gokul Sarma, Romario Sarma, Wasiqur Rahaman, Muktar Hussain, Abu Nechim Ahmed, Mrinmoy Dutta, Arup Das, Avijit Singha Roy, Rahul Singh and Jitumoni Kalita.
