Another huge victory for Assam in Senior Women's National Football Championship

GUWAHATI: Assam registered another thumping victory in the Senior Women's National Football Championship in Kuthuparamba, Kerala today. This time they thrashed Bihar by 8-1. Sonia Marak scored a hat-trick in the game The other goal scorers for Assam were Rupali Boro, Sanila Basumatari, Sainjali Kemprai (2) and Swapnali Mali.

Assam scored their first four goals within 21 minutes of the match. Sonia Marak later adjudged player of the game. It may be mentioned here that Assam in their first game on Monday thrashed Rajasthan by 7-0.

With second consecutive victories in the meet Assam now lead the points table in group 'C' with 6 points. In their last group-league game Assam will face Himachal Pradesh on December 3.
