Arunachal Kabadi team to participate in National Sports Championship
The Arunachal Kabaddi Association (AKA) President Bamang Raman on Tuesday informed that a 15-member Kabadi team will participate in the National Sports Championship-2021 at Guru Ram Rai University, Dehradun here.

ITANAGAR: The Arunachal Kabaddi Association (AKA) President Bamang Raman on Tuesday informed that a 15-member Kabadi team will participate in the National Sports Championship-2021 at Guru Ram Rai University, Dehradun here.
Speaking to the reporters, Raman said, "This is the first time our state will be representing in national level games in Kabadi. Therefore, we hope the team wins and bring laurel to the state."
The championship is organized by National Sports & Physical Fitness Board which is scheduled to start from October 1.
Raman said that the entire expenses of training the players, transportation and coaches are being taken up by individual capacity or sometimes 'sponsorship'. He said that the coach has been brought from Kolkata, who is providing the basics of kabadi training to the players.
He also appealed to the state government to provide help in getting a permanent coach and stadium for the players. Raman informed that the Sports & Youth Minister Mama Natung and Sports Chairman had earlier assured to look into the matter.
