GUWAHATI: Aslesha Talukdar of Srimanta Sankar Academy bagged the best player award while Maria’s Public School received the best school team award in the Kailash Nath Sarma Memorial Invitational Inter-School Chess Championship which concluded in the city today.

The final result of different categories: Upto class IV (girls): 1st-Afsheen Afsha Zaman, 2nd Tanaya P Haloi. Upto class IV (mixed): 1st-Mrinmoy Rajkhowa, 2nd -Jyotshnav Talukdar. Upto Class V-VIII (Girls): 1st-Aslesha Talukdar, 2nd -Adreeja Sinha. Upto class V-VIII (mixed): 1st- Nihad Islam Hazarika, 2nd- Pran Govinda Parashar Kashyap.Upto class IX-XIII (Girls): 1st-Anoushka Priyam, 2nd- Moitrayee Borah. Upto class IX-XIII (Mixed): 1st- Achitanga Kashyap, 2nd- Mridumoloy Das. Yongest player of the tournament: N Kairav Kakati. Best Snehabandhan player: Drup Deka.
