Assam beat Tamil Nadu in CK Nayudu tournament at Silchar

GUWAHATI: Assam defeated Tamil Nadu by 52 runs in the CK Nayudu Cricket tournament match held at Silchar today. Visitors, chasing 165 runs to win, were bowled out for 122 runs in the second innings. Mrinmoy Dutta (4-56) and Rahul Singh (3-43) once again shined with ball and shared seven wickets between them in the second innings. In the first innings also Mrinmoy bagged five wickets and Rahul four. Assam, batted first in the game, scored 198 in the first innings and later they restricted visitors 167 in their first innings. Assam were bowled out 143 in the second innings. Mujibur Ali (28) and Biplab Saikia (27) were the major contributors.
