Assam boys and girls reach final in the 2nd Federation Cup Rollball Championship,Guwahati

GUWAHATI, July 20: Assam girls and boys team stormed into the final of the 2nd Federation cup Rollball championship defeating Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh in the semi finals at the Tarun Ram Phukan Indoor Stadium here today. In the semi final girls team won the well contested tie 2-1 while boys side beat Uttar Pradesh 7-4.

It was the fifth matches for Assam girls team and they progressed into the final without losing a single game. In group stage Assam defeated Tamil Nadu (4-1), Madhya Pradesh (4-3) and share points with Uttar Pradesh (1-1) and Rajasthan (3-3).The boys team also performed well in the group stage. They beat Jharkhand (3-20, Delhi (4-2), Rajasthan (7-3) and lost to Maharashtra (3-7).
