Assam Cricket Association lays foundation stone for ‘Ashroi’ Project

GUWAHATI: The Assam Cricket Association (ACA) laid the foundation stone for ‘Ashroi’, a residential project aimed at providing housing to a section of underprivileged families residing in the vicinity of the ACA Stadium, Barsapara.

The ‘Ashroi’ project, an initiative of the ACA, is a testament to their commitment to community development and addressing the housing needs of the underprivileged. The foundation stone-laying ceremony marked the beginning of this noble endeavour.

BCCI Joint Secretary Devajit Saikia today laid down the foundation stone of the project in presence of ACA President Taranga Gogoi, Secretary Tridib Konwar and others.

With the ACA’s ongoing plans to construct a mega commercial and parking site in the area, it became crucial to ensure the well-being and livelihoods of these people who have been living in the locality. The ‘Ashroi’ project will facilitate their relocation to safe and sustainable housing, fostering a sense of security and stability within the community.
