Assam girls lose narrowly in U-19 One Day Women Cricket against Rajasthan

GUWAHATI: The Last pair held the nerve and gave Rajasthan a nail-biting win against Assam in the U-19 One Day Women Cricket here today. Chasing 151 runs to win in 50 overs Rajasthan lost their ninth wickets when the score was 146. But R Singh and AN Choudhury negotiated the next six balls nicely and took their team to victory. Invited to bat, Assam, rode on a nice half-century from Hemalata Payeng (59) and equally good knock by Anamika Bori (31), put 150-7 on the board. Hemalata and Anamika added 57 runs on the fourth wicket partnership. Riza (50) played a good knock for Rajasthan and took the team close to victory. After the bat, Bori also did well with the ball and finished 3-17.
