Assam miss semis berth of National Futsal Championship

GUWAHATI: Assam narrowly missed semi-final berth in the Sub Junior category of National Futsal Championship in Kochi today. In the first two games Assam won against Delhi (3-1) and Telengana (1-0) but they failed to display similar performance in the next two matches. Assam drew third match with Mahatashtra (1-1) and lost to Andhra Pradesh 0-1 which denied them a berth in the semi finals because of inferior goal difference. In the senior category Assam failed to book a berth in the quarter final narrowly.
