Assam storm into quarters of Senior National Volleyball Championship

GUWAHATI: Assam men entered into the quarterfinals of the Senior National Volleyball Championship at Bhubneswar today. In the pre quarters the side defeated Andhra Pradesh by 25-18, 25-19 and 25-16. The win also ensured Assam’s qualification in next edition of Federation cup and National Games. Earlier in the morning Assam beat Chhattisgarh 3-2 in play-off match to enter pre quarterfinals. In the quarter final Assam will face Karnataka tomorrow. The working president of the Assam Volleyball Association Pradip Hazarika informed that it is the best performance by a team from Assam in the senior National volleyball Tournament.
