GUWAHATI: Assam struggling to avoid defeat against Bengal in the VM Trophy match at Kalyani today. In reply to Assam first innings total 134 Bengal today declared their first innings 378-6.

Two of their batsmen-Ayush Kumar Singh (111) and Abishek Porel (133) scored a century. Assam finished the day II at 41-2 in their second innings. The side is still trailing by 203 runs.
