Assam stun Karnataka by 7 wickets in Senior Women T20 League

GUWAHATI: Assam stunned Karnataka by 7 wickets in the Senior Women T20 League in Mumbai today. Chasing 116 runs to win Assam reached the target in 19.1 overs losing three wickets.

The star of the day was undoubtedly Assam batswoman Anita Lodhi who played a superb knock in the match. Anita today remained not out on 64 runs and she took only 59 balls to score those runs with the help of 8 boundaries. Anita and Suporna (24) in their first wicket partnership added 64 runs in 9.3 overs. Anita later completed the remaining work with the help of Uma Rana (19) and other batswomen in the team.

Earlier opted to bat, Karnataka scored 115-6 in their 20 overs. Rakshita (27) was the top scorer. Shanti Rai and Ruhina Pegu picked up 2 wickets each in the match.
