Assam swimmer Shivangi Sarma wins 3rd Gold

GUWAHATI: Assam swimmer Shivangi Sarma's good show in the 74th Senior National Aquatic Championship continued. The swimmer today collected her third gold medal and this time in 200mts freestyle. Shivangi clocked 2:07:10 on way to finish first in the meet. It was the fourth medal for the swimmers in the championship. Earlier she collected two gold medals and one bronze. Meanwhile another Assam swimmer Astha Choudhury today collected a silver in the 100mts butterfly. It was her second medal in the meet. She also won a gold medal yesterday in 200mts butterfly with the timing 2:20:47. Bikram Changmai, also from Assam, collected a bronze in the 200mts butterfly in men's section with the timing 2:05:58 on Thursday.

Assam altogether collected 7 medals in the competition and all were won by the trio.
