Assam was beaten by Bengal in U-19 Women One day cricket tournament

GUWAHATI: Assam lost to Bengal by 11 runs in the U-19 Women One day cricket tournament at the NFRSA ground here today. Invited to bat, Bengal scored 173-6 in their 50 overs. Priti Mondal (33) was the top scorer. Although Priyanka Boruah and Anamika Bori played two good knocks for Assam it was not enough for the home team to reach victory. Priyanka faced 64 balls, scored 56 runs with the help of six boundaries and one six. Anamika remained not out on 48 (90 balls, 4X2). Assam finished their 50 overs quota scoring 162-8.
