GUWAHATI: Assam defeated Arunachal Pradesh by 5 wickets in the U-23 One day tie at Cuttack today. Chasing 153 runs to win Assam reached the target in 33.2 overs losing five wickets. Mujibur Ali (52 no, 4X5, 6X1) was the top scorer. Biplab Basanta Saikia (44, 4X5, 6X1) and Saahil Jain (24) were the other major contributors with the bat.

Brief scores: Arunachal Pradesh 152-9 (50 overs), Licha Tada 50, Sarvash Kalra 22, Samay Batra 21, Santanu Dhar 2-25, Rahul Singh 2-31, Biplab Basanta 2-20. Assam 156-5 (33.2 overs), Biplab Saikia 44, Mujibur Ali 52 no, Saahil Jain 24, Mojahidul Khan 2-17, Tana Teti 2-41.
