Assam women win gold in Table Tennis

Guwahati: Assam women Table Tennis team bagged gold medal in the 83rd North East Sports Meet at Imphal today. In the final Assam team comprised of Adrija Sarmah, Meghna Rosel, Pratiksha Konwar, Lia M Hussain and Akanshya Borpujari beat Mizoram in the final by 3-1. In the men's category Assam finished with silver medal after the side lost to host Manipur by 1-3 in the final. Zeedan Gogoi, Kaushik Kr. Phukan, Kalyan Singh, Chanakya M Gogoi and Krishanu Baruah represented state in the men's team.
