Assam's mountaineer Deepshikha Hazarika missing

GUWAHATI: A mountaineer from Guwahati Deepshikha Hazarika is among those who are reported missing after the mountaineers' team was hit by an avalanche in Uttarakhand on Tuesday.

A team of 34 trainees and seven instructors, Deepshikha was also part of it, were training on Mount Draupadi ka Danda II in the northern state of Uttarakhand when they were caught in an avalanche at around 8:45 am on Tuesday. Already 10 bodies were recovered from the site.
