GUWAHATI: The newly formed Association of Assam Football Coaches organized a special webinar for the football coaches of the state today. More than 60 coaches took part in it.

The topic for the discussion was "How to deal with Players as a Coach; the coach and players relationship".

AFC Pro License coach and assistant coach of Kerela Blaster FC Thangboi Singto and AIFF instructor Prashant Singh attended the webinar as key speakers.

The president of the Association of Assam Football Coaches Bidhan Das said The Sentinel, "This is the first occasion that such a webinar was organized for the soccer coaches of the state. Both the coaches nicely elaborate the point with examples and I belief our coaches had earned many new ideas on that issue."

The webinar was divided into two parts. Prasanta highlighted the relation between youth players and coaches while Thangboi described on how the coaches should handle the senior and professional players.

Kamala Kanta Singh, another key official of the Association of Assam Football Coaches, informed: "The idea behind to organize such webinar was to upgrade our soccer coaches. The programme was very good and I am optimistic that our coaches had earned good knowledge on the particular subject."

The secretary of the Assam Football Association Hemendra Nath Brahma, the secretary of the Assam Olympic Association Lakhya Konwar and renowned footballer and coach of the State Toshen Bora were also participated in the webinar and extended all possible helps to the coaches to take forward the soccer in Assam.

Talking to The Sentinel the secretary of the Assam Football Association Hemendra Nath Brahma said, "It's a good initiative. I thank the organizer to host webinar on such an interesting topic. I belief this type of discussion will help to create a good relation between players and the coaches in the State and will take the State soccer one step forward."
