Bhawani Devi, Guru Prakash win Golds

GUWAHATI: Bhawani Devi and Guru Prakash won gold medals in the women and Men’s section of the Senior National Fencing Championship in Guwahati. Bhawani, who participated in the Women Sabre event, finished first while Jose Josna Cristy of Kerala bagged a silver medal.

Two bronze medals were collected by Komalpreet Shukla of Punjab and Diana Devi (Manipur). In the men’s Epee individual category Guru Prakash and Sunil Kumar, both from SSCB, collected a gold medal. The bronze medals were won by C Jetlee (Rajasthan) and N Santosh Singh (SSCB).
