Boxer Jamuna Boro felicitated by Dhekiajuli MLA Ashok Singhal

TEZPUR: Boxer Jamuna Boro, who brought laurels to the State by bagging a gold medal at the 2nd India Open Boxing Tournament, was felicitated by Dhekiajuli MLA Ashok Singhal at Vidhayak Seva Kendra, Dhekiajuli in Sonitpur district. Singhal said that the boxer made the town along with her home State proud with her remarkable achievement at the international boxing tournament held in Guwahati recently. Singhal also gifted one bigha of land to Jamuna for her recent boxing feat. Jamuna toppled fellow boxer Y Sandhyarani in the final of 54-kg category and bagged gold.
