BPCL lift PSPB Inter Unit Volleyball Tournament title

GUWAHATI: BPCL lifted 40th PSPB Inter Unit Volleyball Tournament 2019-20 title defeating ONGC in the final held on Friday at Numaligarh. BPCL won the tie by 3-0. Host NRL won the second runners up spot defeating OIL by identical margin. Ajit Lal of BPCL, who represented India in the Asian Games 2018, was adjudged the ‘Best Player of the Tournament’ while Basab Borah from NRL was declared the ‘Most Promising Player’ of the meet.

The Closing function of the tournament was attended by Director (Finance) NRL Indranil Mittra, Joint Secretary of PSPB KLTejwani, Sr CGM (HR & Legal) of NRL D Choudhury, secretary of Assam Volleyball Association Amal Baruah and a few others.

Santiago: We have very good pool of young boxers and they are capable to deliver. We just need to improve a few areas like infrastructure of this game and the number of competitions which I feel should be more.
