CBSE Cluster-I Basketball begins today

Guwahati: Miles Bronson Residential School (MBRS) is going to host and organize Central Board of Secondary Education’s (CBSE) Cluster-I (East India Zone) basketball tournament from tomorrow in the category of under-17 and 19 Boys and Girls.

Altogether 33 CBSE affiliated schools encompassing entire NE India have confirmed their participation which are as follows: Sainik School, Goalpara; Ekalavya Model Residential School (EMRS), Sikkim; St. Francis de Sales School, Narengi; Army Public School, Narengi; Axel Public School, Guwahati; Christ School, Meghalaya; Delhi Public School, Numaligarh; Delhi Public School, Digboi; Delhi Public School, Guwahati; Don Bosco School, Guwahati; Faculty Higher Secondary School, Guwahati; Gurukul Grammar School, Guwahati; Indus Academy, Jagiroad; Kaziranga English Academy (KEA), Guwahati; Little Flower School, Guwahati; Montfort School, Guwahati; Maria’s Public School, Guwahati; Modern English School, Guwahati; Modern High School, Guwahati; Maharishi Vidya Mandir, Guwahati; Maria Montessori School, Imphal; NPS International School, Guwahati; Pragjyotish School, Guwahati; Royal Global School, Guwahati; Shrimanta Sankar Academy, Guwahati; St. Francis De Sales School, Guwahati; Sarala Birla Gyan Jyoti School, Guwahati; South Point School, Guwahati; St. Francis de Assisi High School, Guwahati; St. Anthony High School, Manipur; Sainik School, Nagaland; The Little Stars Senior Secondary School, Digboi and the host Miles Bronson Residential School, Borjhar.

The idea behind organizing such tournaments across the country in the form of Cluster by CBSE is to enhance and escalate the sports and co-curricular pursuits of the budding talents and also to provide a platform of exchange and collaboration to the students. The Cluster –I covers all the 8 states from North East India where students of CBSE affiliated schools from Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura and Sikkim can participate the tournament.

Dr. N. K. Dutta, Founder and Principal of MBRS and Nandini Dutta, Secretary, MBRS jointly have extended their greetings and best wishes to all the participants of the host and the participants of other teams who are going to join the tournament and also appealed all to maintain a congenial atmosphere throughout the tournament.
