Charaideo win football title in CM Gram Panchayat Sports meet

GUWAHATI: Charaideo lifted the football title in the CM Gram Panchayat Sports meet defeating Kokrajhar in a well contested final by 10-9 at Sonapur today. The fate of the game was decided via sudden death after schedule time (0-0) and tie break (5-5) failed to break the deadlock. Falguny Basumatary of Kokrajhar bagged the best player award of the meet while Tutu Bora of Charaideo received the best goalkeeper award. The closing function was attended by two legendary footballers of the state Gilbertson Sangma and Debasish Roy respectively.
