GUWAHATI: Assam are struggling against Madhya Pradesh in CK Nayudu Cricket tournament tie held at the Satindra Mohan Dev Cricket Stadium in Silchar today. Chasing Madhya Pradesh huge 1st innings total 401 Assam were 61-2 in their first innings at stumps on day II. Both the openers-Biplab Saikia (26) and Prasenjit Sarkar (7) got out cheaply. Captain Abhisekh Thakuri and Subham Mandal remained not out on 12 and 10 respectively.

Earlier Madhya Pradesh finished their first innings on 401. Ajay Rohera (160) scored century. Gaurav Patel (86) also contributed good score before got out. Dharani Rabha (5-107), Avinav Choudhury (4-157) shared nine wickets between them.
